When it came to fitting hazard-warning lights onto Boarhunt’s innovative new Jerr-Dan Side Loading Vehicle Retriever (SLVR), sole UK distributor CeeJay Systems, had no hesitation in specifying Venta Global, a leading vehicle warning equipment supplier. Boarhunt, a leading supplier of recovery services to the emergency services, councils and bus and coach operators wanted to ensure that its new SLVR was equipped with state-of-the-art hazard warning lights.
A revolutionary new concept in towing and recovery equipment, the SLVR, takes just 45 seconds to retrieve a car. The new SLVR offers fast recovery, provides unparalleled access to tightly parked cars and never blocks more than one lane during towing operations. In addition, the operator remotely controls recovery operations and never needs to leave the comfort and safety of the cab.
“Venta Global’s hazard warning lights and LED messaging systems are top of the range products”, said Tony Bell, Managing Director of CeeJay Systems. “As an ISO 9002 accredited company with customers that include the Automobile Association, Ministry of Defence and Police Forces, we need to ensure that the hazard warning lights we fit meet our exacting standards”.
Venta Global has supplied the vehicle with a package of hazard warning lights that includes two amber ActivSign LED Matrix messaging systems that have been mounted on each side of the rear of the vehicle. An extremely versatile messaging system, Venta Global’s ActivSign enables the vehicle operator to quickly and easily convey a message to a specific road user or alert or instruct the public following an incident. In addition, Venta has also supplied two VariLED warning grille lights and its energy efficient and robust Panther LED lightbar.
“The LED Matrix Messaging System’s onboard memory enables the sign to retain up to 80 user-programmed messages, which means that we can have a message for every possible situation”, said Rob Doney, Technical Director at Boarhunt. “Safety is always our primary concern. As our new SLVR is fitted with top-of-the-range high intensity warning lights and matrix signals, vehicles are warned well in advance of the hazard”.
